Movie night at home

Thinking of doing this and inviting some friends. If you were to go to a friend’s for this, would you expect dinner before the movie, or just popcorn and other snacks? With kids.

It depends what time it is. Just be clear in the invite whether they need to have eaten dinner before or if you’re serving dinner.

If it's at 6 0r 7, then dinner. If it's at 8, snacks. Just be clear on the invite.

"Please come over after dinner for movies, drinks and snacks at 8pm!"

"Please join us for a pizza and movie night next Friday at 7pm"!

A charcuterie board and wine.

If it's with younger kids, I think it would be easier to have dinner at the home where you are watching the movie. If it's with teen and the movie starts later, I'd expect to eat at home first.
