Bread makers

Thinking about getting one. What kind do you recommend? What breads / recipes do you use most often? If I am a working mom do I have time for this?

Depends a little on what you are looking for, but I'd recommend going with a no-knead approach over a breadmaker. You can get great bread with really very little effort (or investment). I found we were eating too much bread, so I cut back.
Here's a site with good info., but there are others too.

i LOVE my breadmaker. Its black and decker, but I imagine they are all pretty similar. I make fresh bread every week. Its cheaper and better than store-bought. I dont usually make sandwich bread, just big loaves for dinner parties or brunch, but it would probably be good with sandwiches too.

I usually make challah, making the dough in the breadmaker and braid it and bake it in the oven. I also make whole wheat loaves.

If I made it every day, I'd probably eat a loaf a day but i save it for the weekend and stick to regular store-bought sliced bread for sandwiches during the week.
