What did you do after two failed transfers with PGT tested embryos

Anonymous
I just had my second failed transfer. We did a fully medicated for the first and a fully natural (no medications) for the second. I am sad, but wondering why this is happening. I know PGT tested embryos have a 60-70 percent chance, but I am feeling defeated right now. I changed my diet and added acupuncture. I am accepting that it is out of my control and there was nothing I can do. Has anyone been in my shoes? What did you do differently between protocols? Did you advocate a new protocol or do what your doctor said? Did you switch clinics? I have embryos at my current clinic.

What do you mean by failed transfer? If they failed to implant I would definitely do an ERA test and surprised your RE hasn’t suggested that. If miscarriages then immune issues, or uterine anomalies/ infections, etc need to be looked at.

How many embryos do you have left? How many rounds of retrievals did it take to get your embryos? Age? Primary or secondary infertility?

OP here. Make issue. I have more embryos. I’m over 35. Different protocols for each transfer. The embryo didn’t implant both times.

you need to do the ERA test. They may not be transferring the embryos in your window of receptivity.

Yes and have them test for chronic Endometritis with the same biopsy

OP here. Thank you so much for the suggestions. I will take note of them. I asked for an ERA, but my RE felt there wasn't any added value and that there are not many studies to support the effectiveness of it. We made a consult with another clinic to see if we are missing anything.

Do you recommend taking time off between cycles? Do you think it is worth trying a modified natural cycle?

No - I think time off off would be for you emotionally it would not help with the physical aspect of infertility. Honestly I would push back on ERA. It certainly works for some people and you are a prime candidate. If your RE just suggests trying the same thing over and over again with no changes I would switch REs or switch clinics.

OP here. Thank you PP for the advice. That makes sense. I will advocate for an ERA since the embryos didn't implant both times.
