At what point do you switch clinics?

What point do you switch clinics? I recently had two failed FETs. The embryos were PGT tested.

How many retrievals did you do? How many embryos do you have left. Did the doctor offer anything different re protocol between the first and second FET?

I had two failed FETs of PGT normal embryos. For my third transfer, my Dr added baby aspirin, doxycycline, and a low dose steroid and it was successful. I am not sure if any of the additional medication helped but it did give me confidence that my Dr was willing to try something different. I think in my case it was just really bad luck with my first two, rather than error on the part of my clinic. Are there any other reasons you are unhappy with your clinic? Do you think you should have had better results with your retrieval or better communication with your care team? Two failed FETs alone was not a reason for me to consider switching so it might be helpful to know if there are other issues with the clinic.

There are less clinic based factors for transfers failing then for failed retrievals. If you are happy with your retrieval results and your doctor is will to try different things, I’d stick where you are. Honestly sometimes it just a matter for bad luck, but mentally I’d want a different protocol or more testing before transferring again.
