Daycare/Preschool in Reston

Anonymous
We are moving to Reston and looking for recommendations for daycare/preschool options for my almost 3 year old.

Thanks so much!

We sent our child to Common Ground and thought it was fantastic—very nurturing environment with little teacher turnover. This was before covid so I’m not sure how things have changed there. But it’s definitely a good place to check out.

I visited Sunset Hills Montessori and loved it. Ended up choosing a Montessori closer to my home though.

Both of our children went to the Simon Center. We loved it and are still friends with several of the families and teachers. I'd also check out Reston Children's Center. and LANK, which is only a preschool. You have good options in Reston.

Would anyone recommend Winwood in Reston?

We used Winwood and really liked it. I will say they were not as warm and fuzzy as another center we were at, but I liked it. We moved or I would send my other kids there too.

The lack of warm/fuzzy didn’t bother you?

I visited Sunset Hills Montessori and liked it very much. Wasn't convenient for us so we went in another direction.

I do like Montessori first; I liked their reputation, facility, personable staff, and access and use of the outdoors.
