Although it may seem like it's not a good choice for the quality of the game overall, it may help the US a bit since Honduras will likely have the most difficulty dealing with the weather.

US may win, but it won't be because their players are more used to playing in sub-freezing temps. They are just too scared of having more fans from the opposite nation be at the game, so they won't play in FL, TX, or CA. I think this strategy has already backfired on them, because US has looked awful in the two preceding cold weather games.
