We’re debating private preschool applications and wondering if NCRC can possibly be worth the price tag. Should we apply for aid and just see what happens- if we even get in? We’re looking at 2 in preschool or daycare on a household income of about 250k, though much lower last 2 years. Not old enough for public school options yet. Our kids don’t seem to be thriving in their current set up. |
The “worth it” question is one only you can answer. Lots of families choose independent schools and find it worth it, lots of families never even consider it because it will never be worth it to them. I think you just have to go with your gut. |
250k? You will not get aid. |
I work in the field. $36K for preschool is obscene. Trust me, you can find so many high-quality, play-based preschools in the area for half that tuition. And I love how they call tuition "Total Investment" on their website!

You should not get any aid on $250K a year. There are plenty of cheaper options that are good. |
Agreed - pretty much guaranteed |
You definitely may get aid. I can say from experience: just apply for it. |

+1. There is not a pre-school on the planet that is "worth" this. And one of my kids went to NCRC. |
