Is it possible to live in DC and pay some form of tuition to send your child to a MoCo Middle/High School?
TIA... |
OP here: Thanks for the information/link to the thread! |
"The Board approved tuition rates for nonresident students for the 2009–2010 school year. Each year’s rates are based on the approved operating budget, cost of debt service, and current revenue funding for the capital budget. The new rates for FY 2010 are:
- Elementary (including kindergarten) $14,431 (an increase of $29 over the current school year) - Secondary: $14,131 ( an increase of $63) - Special Education: $30,418 (an increase of $850; rate may change to reflect cost requirements of implementing the IEP)" http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/press/index.aspx?pagetype=showrelease&id=2566&type=archive&startYear=2008&pageNumber=&mode= |

You are better off sending them to private school for a few thousand more! |
Or just move to MC and pay taxes here. |
I did not know one could pay tuition to a public school. Wow. |
I know someone who lives just over the PG line who does this. But she says she only pays $5k tuition for middle school. |
