4-6 hrs crockpot how do I know when ready

Making chicken taco chili and it says 4-6 hrs on high or 6-8 on low. I’m doing it on high because I wanted to serve for lunch. Since the time is 2 hours difference is it really ready at 4 hours or should I wait for 6? How do I know?

Just shred the chicken and see if it’s done.

Do you have a thermometer? Chicken is done at 160. If you want to pulled or shredder the chicken 210 but the other veggies will breakdown also.

Make sure meat thermometer has hit 165F AND the texture is to your liking. If it’s not soft enough, keep cooking it and feel free to switch to low.
