Road Reports - January 3 Storm

Creating a thread for road reports in this storm.

Upper NW: Side streets are ice-packed with a layer of snow on top. Quite slippery. Only main road I drove on was Wisconsin Avenue and it is slusy despite plows and grit trucks and traffic..

Upper MoCo - getting bad. Untreated roads and snow starting to cover the roads.

Where is everyone going to take pictures? I’m getting the kiddos bundled up now to go search for some great locations for photos. Would love to put these out on Facebook for my relatives. TIA!

I left the house around 8:30 this morning traveling around Brookland/Woodridge/Brightwood. What would normally be a 30 mins route took about 1.5 hours (round trip was less than 5 miles). It was a mess. Did not see one single plow, even sticking to mainly the snow emergency routes.

Rock Creek Parkway is clear and beautiful. Basically anywhere with a lot of trees is amazing right now.
