Taylor Swift album Tortured Poets Department leaked early?

Peter has got to be the most devastating song of hers yet. If someone wrote a song like that for me, I would either stay in bed for the rest of my life or show up in Paris next weekend with a ring. But in all seriousness, I would never be the same. 😢😭

That's how I feel about "About You" by The 1975 which (apparently?) was written about TS. If someone wrote a song like that about me, I would be putty in their hands.

+2. I really like Joe, and am glad he’s been spared from Taylor’s mess.

But it’s kinda worse for Joe, all these Matty songs.

Disagree. He values his privacy. Taylor did him a service by diverting attention away, whether intentionally or not.

Joe has plenty of songs about him. There’s nothing left to write.

Which TTPD songs do you think she’ll include on the Eras tour? I predict But Daddy I Love Him, Fortnight, Peter, I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.
I am taking DCs to see her in the fall. It will be fun and heartbreaking at the same time to listen to all the eras with the new knowledge about the story behind many of her songs.

Why are you including Peter?

Because it is beautiful? And related to Cardigan, which is on the Eras tour.

I don’t think she’ll play Peter for the same reason why she cut out invisible string.

Fortnight
But Daddy I Love Him
I Can Do It With A Broken Heart
Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me / Guilty As Sin

One of the surprise songs on Wembley will be “So Long, London.” And in Miami, “Florida!”

This is a good list. I’d put Down Bad on the short list for potential additions too.
Peter immediately became one of my top 5 taylor songs, I doubt it makes the set list but is likely for a Surprise song.
Guess we’ll find out next week when tour resumes in Paris!!

More a comment on the sad state of pop than anything else

I guess that happens when you release 31 songs at once.

She made a bunch of songs, all in similar chords, tone, melody, notes and she and her team decided to publish all of them and in one single album. Her choice.

Pp. You described the music part better than I did. I still feel like the music was little more than background filler while Taylor's lyrics just sat on top. This was more of a poetry reading than a music album. And her fans are into the narrative first and foemost, so ....

Yes! I wonder if a no name artist had published the same type of album would it have been as well received? Or is it just that Taylor can do no wrong and whatever she puts out will be loved by her fans.

I’m enjoying the album more and more. So many good songs, even ones I initially passed on. loml has been my tearjerker song on repeat this week. And The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived is creeping up there for when I need a good rant.
