An College friend’s kid went there and it looks possibly interesting for my HS kid who is interested in psychology (possible sports psychology) and would want to be an Athlete (DIII). Anyone have any experience. A lot of LACs will be out of reach for my kid academically, and this school looks less selective.
Huh?
Is that where Homer Simpson went to college?
I know everyone on this forum is snobby about colleges but my nephew and his wife both went to Springfield College. They are both super active - triathlon types. Many years later… they both have great careers- she is a physical therapist and he works in the insurance industry (got an MBA along the way), It is totally fine
Never heard of it.
I grew up in Massachusetts and knew many people who went there. Not top-tier selective (hence no one on DCUM being familiar with it) but a solid choice, especially for sport or education related fields.

My niece is there and she loves it. Very sporty school and great for anyone who wants a sports-related career. (A much-admired HOS at a DC private went there, too. )

A mid Atlantic school with a similar sporty vibe is Ursinus in PA, if you want an option closer to home.
