6 days post embryo transfer - negative HPT

Anonymous
I am 6 days post-embryo transfer. A 5-day old frozen embryo that was hatching. Took a First Response test this morning and not even a faint line.

We successfully conceived DD as a fresh transfer in 2019 so I know I am already very lucky, and was feeling optimistic about this one.

I know it could still technically be too early, but from what I've seen on here and in other forums, I would have to be the exception. DD was a clear positive at 5 days post-transfer. Feeling pretty down today. I felt that embryo was my baby. I thought I'd post here to get my thoughts out. I know many of you have been there. Thanks for reading.

Thank you, PP.

You aren't out until you are out! Over the years I've had the weirdest implantation timelines. So, still keeping hope for you!

I didn’t get a faint positive line until 8 or 9 days in. Just wait, I know it’s hard, but it’s not worth being upset over it now. I had 5 retrieval’s and 3 failed transfers before my DS. I have been there.

Erm … you’re still too early.

I think you are still early. Test again in three days, and again five days out from today. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. I’ve been in your shoes many times.

At this point, I might wait until the official test. Follow their rules and remain as guardingly hopeful as possible. But sending you hugs!

This is OP - it was negative.

At this point, I've read a lot of forums where women doing the FET process are posting their FRER tests at 5, 6, 7 days post-transfer. The ones that are not faintly positive by 6 days post-transfer rarely turn into a pregnancy. I'd love to be the exception but in this case I was not.

I know, implantation timelines and it shouldn't be possible that early blah blah. My unscientific theory is that the FRER tests are somewhat more sensitive in practice than advertised.
