Anyone have any experience with this? Dr.s recommendation?

Are their support groups for men with this?

Is it just one result or have you done a few?

Need to determine whether there is an obstruction causing no sperm or whether it's hormonal/genetic (a harder road). We went to GW

There are different treatment options available, depending on the reason why the sample didn’t have any sperm. My dh didn’t have a blockage, his body simply barely made any sperm. First sample showed barely any. Second sample contained none. Dh saw a urologist recommended by the RE and he was put on a medication to lower his estrogen to get the right balance of testosterone to estrogen. His samples still contained very few sperm, but there was definitely an increase. We did IVF with ICSI and used some sperm produced the old fashioned way and some that were surgically removed. We have twins who are dh’s biological children.

You are wise to seek out support. It’s a rough road. Good luck.

Is there no sperm in the ejaculate or no sperm in the testes?

We are a male factor infertility success story. My husband has obstructive azoospermia. He had healthy sperm found on biopsy. He failed the vasoepididymostomy by a top urologist. His tubes were too narrow. He did not have cystic fibrosis and we don't know why he has infertility. We did an IVF ICSI cycle with sperm from testicular biopsy. 13 eggs retrieved 10 mature 10 fertilized 8 blasts, 2 transfers, one healthy baby and currently pregnant.

Surprisingly age of mom is still a huge factor.

Nice thing about the biopsy is it’s repeatable, practically forever. Or as long as it takes, so long as there are viable sperm harvested.

Some drs claim 6 months between attempts (supposedly for recovery).,
but you can realistically do it on him again at 4; maybe even sooner.
