Seems quite low for McLean and Langley? People say they are better than private schools, but those scores are at least 150 points below private school

McLean has a Title I feeder and still had higher average scores last year than Langley. What private school do you have in mind?

A lot of students are not taking the SAT because it is not required for admission at most schools. My son took the SAT because he needs a strong score due to a not-so-strong GPA. His latest score is in the 1400s, but when he took it for the first time earlier this year his score was in the 1200s (he didn't study for it the first time).

A lot of students are not taking the SAT because it is not required for admission at most schools. My son took the SAT because he needs a strong score due to a not-so-strong GPA. His latest score is in the 1400s, but when he took it for the first time earlier this year his score was in the 1200s (he didn't study for it the first time).

I believe that unlike many jurisdictions FCPS paid for any interested seniors to take the SATs.

McLean has more NMSFs than Potomac in the Class of 2022 and Langley has just as many. No shortage of very bright kids at both schools.

Okay, here is the link for Potomac 2021. 1439 SAT average. I am sure Big 3 is as good or better.
