Summer camps in August?

Virtually every camp we've looked at seems to end by Aug. 8, but school doesn't start up again in most places until after Labor Day, leaving a gap of three+ weeks between the end of camp and the beginning of school. Does anyone know of good day-camps for 4-6 yr olds (in DC and/or Alexandria/Arlington) that have half or full-day sessions in mid and late August? Thanks!

Congressional School has full day camp in August. I think it is located in Falls Church or Arlington.

Sidwell Summer has in the past -but for those age groups, the last camp is 8/15 for this summer (8/22 for grades 2 and up) - www.sidwell.edu/summer. Arlington County offers programs up until Labor Day weekend. good luck!

Imagination Stage has 1/2 days that go into late August...but it is in Bethesda and is totally arts based.

Silver Stars in Silver Spring and MarvaTots in Rockville have gymnastics camps through August.

YMCA in Arlington has summer camps through the end of August.

JCC in Fairfax (with buses from Arlington and Alexandria) has camp weeks 9 and 10.

St Patricks used to do a Gap camp for 2 weeks in August. Headfirst has late camps.

Arl. Co. Parks and Rec has excellent all-day camps that run thru the end of summer.
