People who have Peloton Treadmills....

I am thinking of getting one. I have been enjoying their app for outdoor workouts, so I know what that is like. its much more expensive than other treadmills. Is it worth it? Is it different than others?

They recalled that one. The new one has been redesigned.

You can't buy the Tread + right now -- which is the slatted treadmill and worth the $$$ IMO.

The regular Tread that is for sale is a basic belt treadmill and not worth it. If you want a belt treadmill, buy another brand for less money and probably better quality.

But, if you want slatted, then wait for the Tread + to come back on the market or blow out your budget with a Woodway.

I have a Horizon treadmill and use my Firestick to stream the Peloton app to the TV for running workouts. Only thing I don’t get are the metrics and leaderboard but I saved a ton of $$$!

I have the Tread+. I tried both treads at the Peloton showroom. The plain Tread isn’t worth it, IMHO. If you want a belt tread, get a Horizon. The slats on the Tread+ are awesome.

Agree 100%. Tried both and lots of others in the category and got the tread +. Best decision ever. Unclear if it will ever be sold again.

We have the regular Tread and like it a lot so far. Didn’t do much comparison shopping because it wasn’t a problem budget-wise, and I knew I wanted the integrated screen. We already have the bike, and I find the classes really motivating. The bootcamps are so much easier with the Tread than bike.

If you have any friends who own one, I’d ask if you could try it for a couple workouts. That will help with the cost/benefit analysis.

I have the bike and the smaller treadmill. I love them both. I may have considered the tread + but our ceilings are too low. If you have low ceilings consider that for any treadmill you choose. But I like their classes. Keeps me motivated and wanting more. And I like to be able to plan my workouts- I hop off the bike and onto the tread.

whats the benefit of the slats? I have never been on a treadmill with anything other than a belt!

The tread+ was never an option for me due to space constraints but I plan on getting the regular tread. I had a nonpeloton bike and the app for years before getting the regular bike and the integration so amazing and motivating to me that the peloton tread is worth it to me. I have an old treadmill that I could replace with a nonpeloton one for less money but I feel like I already have done both workouts without integration and know I like the integration enough for the increased cost.

As counter intuitive as it may seem, they are much more forgiving. I have the tread + and I can’t stand bouncy belt treadmills anymore. I lift weights at a regular gym and usually do a short five minute warm up jog when i get there. Totally not the same.

The tread+ also has a much larger running surface area.
