DC area - Ok experience getting covid vaccine recently and if so where?

Anonymous
Has anyone had a good experience getting the covid vaccine recently? If so, where and what day/time of day?

I am in Montgomery County but could drive to DC or VA.

I had a bad experience at a CVS on University Boulevard in Kensington and decided to leave. (I did not get a text to check in and the pharmacist refused to talk to me when I tried to explain I was there for my appointment. She was rude and it was packed and a cluster. So I left after she also wouldn't talk to me again other than to bark "just wait!" ten minutes later when I tried to check in again. I offered to wait outside for as long as she needed or if it would be better for me to come back later in the day and she refused to answer. I have a bleeding disorder and have to take precautions when I get vaccines so I did not want a rude, overworked person giving me the vaccine. I need to get it in a setting where I can talk to the person giving the shot first about making sure we apply pressure, etc.)

So, at that cvs anyway, it seems cvs is not appropriately staffing. She was clearly overwhelmed.

I wish I could go to a doctors office but the soonest I could get at my doctor's hospital was a month from now. Does anyone know of a more medical setting to get the booster? Or did anyone have an okay experience at walgreens or cvs etc, and if so where and what time of day?

OP here. I will add, the Maryland Covid vax site is not up to date. It lists far more places, like hospitals and doctors offices, that are actually no longer giving the vaccine.

I got a booster at Wegmans. I made an appointment online the day before and was in/out in 20 minutes.

Try Safeway in Kensington. I talked to the pharmacist early on and she was nice (but didn't want to give me the shot given my health issues so I got it at my medical facility). Also, try the health center on Dennis avenue.

If you don’t mind coming to DC, make an appointment online at Grubb’s. Small neighborhood pharmacy.

My parents got their vaccines there (a while ago though) and had a good experience. They walked in and asked about availability, and a lady took my dad’s phone number and called them when they had extra at the end of the day.

+1

I just got my booster at Grubb's Capitol Hill and they were so wonderful.

I think(?) it was an actual doctor administering it. She took time to answer my questions, there was no one else there waiting and it was just so easy and pleasant.

The pharmacist at the Kensington Safeway is incredibly nice. I had filled out my paperwork, but decided to come back later, as I had stupidly filled half my cart. She personally called me an hour later and assured me she would take me right away if I came back, which she did and was so understanding as I apologized. My husband is always switching pharmacies but speaks very highly of this one.

Thanks. Which one? Also what time of day and what day? In wondering if part of the problem was that I went Saturday afternoon.
