OMG yes. It doesn't have to be MH - but it has to be someone interesting s0 the songs she writes about their life together are interesting.

I think Taylor is talented enough to make her songs interesting even if the person she's writing about is not. I also tend to think a relationship with a dumb jock (and yes I do think Travis is a dumb jock, sorry defenders) would be interesting in a more novel way than a relationship with a tortured artist with a drug problem. Sorry but that's been done to death, it's tired. There something weirdly counterintuitive about her relationship with Travis and I could see that being more creatively generative.

Also, some of her most beautiful songs aren't about her romantic relationships at all - Margery, The Last Great American Dynasty, Robin, Clara Bow, etc. I really love it when she takes a different subject and writes a song around it.
