ashburton elementary school??

we are moving to bethesda and I'm looking for any feedback about ashburton elementary school. Thanks!!

My kids will go to Ashburton. They don't yet (too young) but here are some things from my neighbors:
1) The kids get at most an hour of homework per night. Something the PTA lobbied for since many parents work and they felt that more than that and they weren't spending enough time with their kids. (Depending on where you stand this could be a good or bad thing)
2) They are doing away with the portables and construction should be finished by 2009.
3) Each grade has a "track" for the kids so if your child excels at academics, they will be with others on the same track.
4) They are changing drop off procedures once the new construction is done. Right now, parents line their cars up on Lone Oak (making it very hard for anyone to get through during drop off hours) In the future, they will be dropping off on Pomona where the new construction is taking place and the Lone Oak entrance will only be for buses.

That's about it. Where in the Ashburton boundaries are you looking?
