I have good news that I want to share with a semi-large group that is a mix of family, friends, and colleagues. I prefer not to send the news via email and don't want to be bothered with sending individual text messages either. Since the group is a mixed bag, I don't want the reply all option that is present via group texts, so wondering if anyone knows of a bcc text feature available on iPhones?
Send them one at a time.
No.
There is no native way to do this on an iPhone but there are apps that can accomplish this for you.

I am pretty sure if you switch from MMS to SMS you can send a message to lots of people, but it will appear to them that they were the only one to get it. I am not an iPhone user so I am not sure if you can do this on a per message basis. You might have to turn it off, send the message, and turn it back on.

OP can individually call them too. |

It is called starting a group and it is the worst thing one human can do another human.
NOT EVERY TEXT REQUIRES A RESPONSE FROM EVERYONE IN THE GROUP. |
You can. Go to Messages in Settings. Turn off iMessage. Turn off MMS. You'll be sending via SMS. That did it for me, on my iPhone X.
You can compose the text then click on it, select all and copy it to your clipboard. Then just paste it into each individual text that you want to send.
I think it’s also fine to send the message in a group chat and kindly ask them to not reply there but to you individually if they so desire.
Just screen shot it and text the screen shot to the third party
