| Fidget toys or pop its, small pad of paper and crayons and or stickers, play doh, small cars, magnatiles ( I can’t think of the exact name but there is a magnet set similar to magnatiles that are block shaped and smaller that work well for a smaller space like sitting at a table) |

Water Wow and the sticker books are great. Honestly, if you're at an outdoor event and your kid is glued to a tablet the whole time, that's going to raise some eyebrows. Also, if you are outdoors you may have to resign yourself to chasing after your kid most of the time. |
