COURTS have orderd the administration to pay SNAP and they are refuseng to do it. It has nothing tp do with the shut down. SNAP benefits were never cut off in a shut down before. Until this one. |
It's already apart of the immigration process to determine if they could potentially become a public charge. It's also apart of the process for them to have a financial sponsor. These aren't things that I think. They are long established rules to avoid this very scenario where people are immigrating here then becoming a financial burden to the country. I'd also point out that naturalized citizens can be treated differently in some scenarios than born citizens. |
Point to a law or a chart yourself that supports anything you just posted. You can't. Because its not correct. |
| I can’t believe you absolute morons are arguing about who “should” and “should not” receive SNAP while the billionaires are picking your pockets. Fools, all of you. |
Where exactly should the $8 billion come from? |
Both can be addressed at the same time. Two things can be true at once. We should not import poverty and billionaires should be taxed enough to pay for universal healthcare for citizens. Is it possible for anyone on this forum to make a point without name calling? |
Maybe we can borrow it from Argentina. |
You are very ignorant. |
You saying “period, full stop” is like putting fingers in your ears to block the truth. Not how a person how aspires to being well informed would act. |
Pay attention. Schumer just made an offer to the Republicans. Thune called it a nonstarter. Johnson won’t even let his caucus come to work. That is one side trying to negotiate and the other stonewalling. |
Schumer’s offer links reopening the government with extending the ACA subsidies. They are two completely different issues. His offer lacks seriousness. There’s nothing to negotiate. Pass a clean CR first. |
Why do you want to raise healthcare costs for middle class? |
| Hungry people riot and then there's an excuse to deploy National guard |
Voters didn't seem to think so |
