It could be that different items from Quince (even across cashmere sweaters) are made in different factories in different countries. That can result in a wide difference in quality
Banana Republic sells a men's t shirt that is sourced from different countries depending on the color. It's the same style number. The shirts made in Vietnam are great. The ones made in Guatemala are think and shapeless. |
I think it really depends on the product - definitely hit or miss.
I really, really liked the cotton quilts I bought. The solid gold hoops are on par with Mejuri, Babygold, etc. The cashmere was crap, I returned it, BUT I really like the cotton and baby alpaca sweaters I bought. The underwear ripped in the wash, it was trash. My husband has two flannel shirts that he really likes. My puffer jacket is really lightweight and perfect for fall weather. I returned all the pants I bought because the fit was weird, but ymmv on those |
Got a great suitcase that’s held up over many many trips and a fraction of the cost of Monos. Bedding has held up great. Linen shirts are good quality. Pants also great. When things haven’t worked out, the returns are easy. Big fan. |
I purchased two Mongolian cashmere dresses and two Mongolian cashmere sweaters. The garments are fine - except - if you know cashmere - you will find these Mongolian types more coarse than other cashmere clothing. I wore my sleeveless dress for the first time yesterday. It was a nice color and I wore my regular size L instead of an often used XL (when I suspect merch coming from China.) The dress was definitely NOT soft, sweet cashmere, but rather a blend, or even recycled cashmere. It was not great quality. The color choices are limited as well, but I'm not thrilled with the colors the last year in general.
In conclusion, I think we are getting what we are paying for. |
I bought their silk knockoff of the Anthro Somerset and I LOVE it. It was the perfect dress for my company's holiday party and I would 100% wear it to a wedding. Definitely not sheer and I was able to steam the wrinkles out very easily. I bought it in two colors and am seriously considering keeping the one I didn't wear just in case I have another party to go to. |
That site is all old lady frump that barely looks passable on the young models. |
I have two cashmere sweaters and a pair of jeans and I LOVE them. Get compliments all the time. |
My issue with the jeans and why I haven’t bought any yet is they seem to only come in the cropped lengths or 30” at most. At least last I checked. I need a 32” inseam for most pant cuts. 30” is only ok for skinny jeans for me. I’m 5’9”. |
They buy their reviews. Quince (especially the cashmere sweaters) are as thin as paper. |
The return policy is a HORRIBLE!!! I never would have ordered if I had known. Customer sizing sucks. And my coat is cheap and ill fitting!!! |
I've found their stuff is hit or miss in quality and sizing (though I've found a few things I've loved) - but think the return policy is actually pretty workable at 365 days. Once or twice I've messed up and checked that I want store credit vs. return to my card by accident, but that was user error on my part. |
Never shopped there... |
The silk blouses are nice. The ponte pants are overpriced for what they are and my 10 year old work appropriate ponte pants from Lands End will last longer. The basic leather goods are nice. The linen bedding is slightly nicer than you would expect at that price point.
My biggest complaint is their limited plus selection, since I’m on the bubble and their clothes run a bit small. |
I have returned things there several times with no issues. |
Yeah this site specifically got me all excited about Quince (had never heard of them before), but none of the cashmere or alpaca sweater I’ve bought have held up, at all. |
