The Always Pan- any reviews?

Saw this mentioned in the NYT and wondering if it makes a good college graduation or other gift. I usually give AllClad but this also supports The Malala Fund. It’s pricey for an unknown, so wondered if anyone’s used it.

Interesting information for everyone who loves to cook. Recently, I also bought myself a carbon steel pan and I really like it. The non-stick coating helps me cook chicken or meat without adding oil. Therefore, my food is delicious and useful for the figure.

I've never heard of it, but now I want one!

"...but it can't go in the oven". I like the idea of being able to throw my cast iron skillet, or dutch oven into the oven - so I don't think this is something I'd be interested in.

I am a senior citizen who has just downsized. I can't tell you how much I love this pan. I moved from a house with almost unlimited pantry and cabinet space to a one bedroom apartment with a small kitchen. I bought this pan in order to get rid some of the pots that I owned but rarely used, in hopes of freeing up some cabinet space. Not only was I able to donate most of my pots and pans, thus clearing my cabinets, this pan is so lovely that I keep it on the stovetop. Works great as a skillet, deep enough to make sauces and soups, and handy to steam vegetables. The non-stick surface is truly non stick and the pan is a dream to clean. I now have this pan, a stock pot and one sauce pan. More than enough. If have limited space, I would highly recommend this pan. Only disappointment is that it does not go into the oven.

Same for me. I love being able to pop my calphalon in the oven or even use on the grill.

The thing is that I need my multiple pans and pots all at the same time! So I wouldn't relish washing it out every 3 minutes.
