Putin Coup

I read that Putin is increasingly concerned about a coup. Wouldn't it be great if there was a coup and whoever kicked Putin to the curb released all the dirt he's had on Trump, and that Epstein was a Russian operative? And how Putin helped Trump rig elections? Would be so great.

The duma is calling for the end of the war. That’s kind of a big deal, I think. Moscow is getting hit and the economy is in shambles.

Can you all link to articles, please? I want to indulge in some wishful thinking as well...

I can see why Putin is scared for his life, and worried about a coup, more than ever before. His war of choice is really hitting home this year, and he has no extra reserves to expend in Ukraine other than poorly equipped and unmotivated manpower. Ukraine is resisting handsomely because of their rapidly evolving drone tech that no one saw coming. A year ago, we were hashing out options for a Ukraine surrender.

Putin looks like he's eating his feelings these days.

Man, he can not end this war. He will not survive that.

I don't follow the reasoning why not.

Putin can't stop the war. What remains of the Russian economy is entirely dependent on war spending. And five years into this war with more than a million Russian casualties, they still haven't even taken Donbas. It's been a complete humiliation for Russia. Putin can neither end the war nor can he win. His regime and the Russian economy collapse the day the war stops.

Over the past two months, Ukraine is actually gaining back land with small offensives. But they don't have the manpower for a real breakthrough. And drones have changed everything for both sides. You can't move anything within 20 miles of the line of contact without it getting destroyed by drones.

It's a stalemate. Ukraine's strategy seems to be to destroy Russia's economy. They are hitting oil and gas infrastructure hard every day. That's the most likely way this ends. Russia's economic collapse. It's a shame Trump keeps giving Russia lifelines. Keeping sanctions in place would have accelerated the end. Instead, Ukraine will keep destroying refineries and so on until the Russian economy implodes.

You’ve just given me my first happy thought in a while. Even if it is wishful thinking, it counts. Thanks!

Remind you of someone? Except that we don't have boots on the ground.
