Dropped my phone today and it is unusable.
So I need to get a new one. Is it better to buy from Verizon or Apple? I intend to pay for full fee upfront. Also, how do I transfer texts over? Thanks |

Transferring texts and other info depends on up recent iCloud backup. If you don’t know what that means, you want to buy from Apple and bring in your old phone, useable or not.
If you’ve got a recent backup and know how to access it, check the deals, but if you’re buying in full up front go with where ever you can get one more quickly. |
| Verizon has a good deal if you are also adding a new line. |
so please check the requirements on Verizon deal and see if they meet your needs. Sometimes they require adding a line and upgrading to unlimited internet which adds cost to the plan, and the cost off sets may not be there depending on your needs. Also be careful as I have not been happy recently with Verizon customer service and often get different response with different team members. I've been with Verizon for a very long time and this year is the first year I've had issues with Verizon customer service and on multiple occasions at that as well. Just check the fine print if you do choose Verizon for financial reasons. |
| Verizon has gone down so so much. I left them. Apple would be a good place to buy in your situation. |
That's a good point, it does require unlimited but the unlimited plans aren't that expensive compared to the old plans if that's what OP is still using. Plus you get free Hulu and Disney+ which saves you money if you are already a subscriber. |
ATT? |
I have an unlimited plan with Verizon. How do I get access to free Hulu? |
| I call the Verizon sales department and ask if they have any offers on upgrading my phone. I got a new iPhone for $99 that way. They have amazing deals every once in a while, but you have to ask. The phones are all unlocked these days, so you aren't stuck with Verizon. I hate Verizon, but it's working for us at the moment. |
I have unlimited too and I had no idea I get Disney Plus and Hulu. Is this only for new plans? I've been with Verizon for 10 years. |
