We live in Bethesda and when we turn off WIFI on our iPhone at home, LTE used to take over (in some areas of the house far from the router, this was a better way to get internet). Now when my husband and I turn off WIFI on our cell phones (at home), it goes to LTE mode but the internet doesn't work - no websites will load and no texts will send. But if we drive down the street, the LTE works fine!
Does anyone with some tech savvy know why this is? We have tried ALL the trouble-shooting suggestions available online (carrier updates; switching briefly to airplane mode; toggling on and off the roaming; popping out the SIM card; etc etc etc). It has been the case for a couple weeks. Also, we are on separate Verizon wireless plans (so it's not a data issue) and have different iPhone versions, too... Thanks for any info or tips! |
| Are you turning WiFi off off or just disconnect from that particular network. If just disconnecting from network it may continue to try to connect to network. |
