Anyone here watch? Curious to know what you thought. For those who haven’t, an episode focuses on a character’s IVF journey.
I thought it was so good and I was happy to see a piece of media show all the nitty gritty details of the process; including the mundane clinical aspects alongside the emotional heartbreaking ones. I cried several times even though I can’t personally relate. It all seemed very accurate too down to the detailed images on the ultrasound display.
All I could keep thinking is wow, I’ve never seen this before and I didn’t know the hell women go through. So often a woman’s infertility experience on screen is whittled down to a dialogue-free scene of a doctor giving bad news or something similarly insubstantial, you know? It doesn’t begin to cover the reality and I was really moved. Great performances by all as well as great directing and cinemetography.
