DC just finished 10th grade at ERHS and we may need to move within the county next year during 11th grade.
Anyone know the rules for continuing placement at a school if you move junior or senior year? Would prefer not having to move DC to a new school esp. after a year of virtual schooling. Transportation we can handle on our own so not looking for bus transport. |

In my experience, this is a don't ask don't tell situation.

I’ve found this to be true, as well. Though, I know some principals do go through the rosters checking addresses every couple of years. You can request a waiver. I don’t know if you’ll be successful as central office has been ridiculously slow to respond to anything since last March, but it’s worth a shot. |
| You would have to wait to move until after junior year. Then the student could get permission to finish the final (terminal) year. Otherwise if you move you will not be able to stay due to school being overcrowded and not on the available schools list. And be careful if you decide to move and not tell them, they often find out. But a lot of people do this. |
