Anyone admitted to 1st grade at GDS, Maret, or any of the other schools ??

I'm curious because all I hear on this board is W/L for 1st...thanks! We are waitlisted at both GDS and Maret : (

Honestly, I think the WL letter for 1st from GDS just means they liked your kid and to reapply for 3rd when they have more space. But I doubt (the AD told as much during the parent interview) that they almost NEVER go the waitlist.

Thanks PP. I'm thinking Maret never goes to the waitlist either! I don't know anyone who as been accepted for 1st so I'm wondering if the spaces were filled with siblings.

22:57, congrats! Any more info you would be willing to share about your DC would be much appreciated...B/G, connected or not, etc.

Def not connected nor do we have money. Girl with minority status, did not ask for financial aid, not from "feeder school" (whatever that means). Wppsi score was solid..not 99th percentile though...

Congratulations again. Best of luck to your daughter at Maret!

PP- You don't have money but you didn't ask for FA. Doesn't that school costs $30K or more?

Yes - my DC was admitted to all!

We don't have money by DC standards but we probably wouldn't qualify for aid since we have assets..some liquid and some not (like house)..

Sidwell doesn't open up at 1st so the person in lying! Maret and GDS do expand at 1st so maybe his/her DC got in there which is impressive since they both admit so few.
