I probably know the answer to this but here it goes?
Is it equally dangerous to have a pedicure in the whirpool bowl if the jets are not used as if they are used? I love the pedicures at the place I currently go to and would hate to switch but the talk of fungus has me scared. |
| I think the point is that the tub can't be cleaned as well. THe Red Door in Chevy Chase doesn't use those tubs. They are expensive though. |

Is there any other place besides Red Door that doesn't use the tubs?
I am pregnant and craving a pedicure right now, but don't feel like shelling $70 plus tip for one. |
| Do you live near Vienna? Sesen Spa on Church Street has been featured in the media (including the Today Show) for their hygiene practices. They do have jets. |
| Bump. Surely there are more salons without jets out there? |
| I had a pedicure without jets at Aveda in Bethesda - that was a while ago, though. |
| I had a pedicure yesterday at a new place near my house (Aislinn Nails and Spa, on the corner of Leesburg Pike and Haycock Rd). Their chairs were really nice and had one center jet - however, it looked different. Maybe it's easier to clean? |
