What are the top private school lacrosse programs for girls in this area? Also public schools?

Just check who wins ISL, VA and MD state championships. It’s the same names every year: SSSAS, Visitation, Ireton, Glenelg, Marriotts Ridge, etc. The public schools in MD that are strong are in Howard and Anne Arundel counties.

PPs above are confusing what schools are in the DC area. Most they list are not cosnidered DC area schools.

For public its much less predictable year to year but Langley in NoVa usually has a strong team. There are a few others in NoVa but they arent consistently good year after year. None in DC or MD part of DC area.

This is pretty inaccurate for MD. Whitman girls made the state final four the last few years. Churchill and Sherwood also have good teams.

They aren’t a “little further out”. They are in different major metro area.

And I guess it depends how good your daughter is if your second question matters.

Well considering the disaster MCPS is in right now, I would strongly recommend a private school whether or not you are a lax player.
