Does anyone know what the policy is going to be on “holding” a concurrent hybrid spot? Can you just keep your kid home until I’m comfortable with the conditions or do you need to send them in if you picked hybrid? I know a lot of schools where there’s a waitlist now for hybrid and Duran said that most schools are “full” of hybrid kids. It seems unfair that parents can hold hybrid spots indefinitely while others are waiting for them. Especially since APS basically gave vastly different views of their plan in November and December than now. Does anyone know
The answer to this? |
| If you chose hybrid, you send your kid. There is no holding of spots for kids who aren’t attending in person. |
| Our principal said you will be counted absent if you are hybrid but don’t show up on your hybrid day w/o an excuse. |
This. If you're not comfortable with the plan right now you need to switch back to DL. |

I’m waiting to hear what the lunch plan is.
|
I’m sure that’s fine. I would think you have until hybrid actual starts to back out, no? But you can’t claim you’re “quarantining” for a month. |
Um no. No one should be able to switch. |
Yeah no. You’re allowed to switch to DL just not the other way around. They can’t force you to do hybrid. |
The lunch plan is they eat in the lunchroom 6 feet apart. |
Maybe at your school, but not all. |
Which school? |
Depends on the school. |
Some are eating in classrooms. |
| And some are eating in the cafeteria. Hasn’t this been explained already? |
Gee - you are so helpful.
We don't all know what is happening at our schools yet. Hasn't that been explained already? |
