where to go for breakfast/brunch in Dupont Circle?

Anonymous
I'm meeting a friend who's visiting from out of town tomorrow morning in Dupon Circle for a late breakfast or brunch. I know the Tabard Inn and Cafe Luna both have good breafast menus, but would love additional suggestions on where to go. We'll each have at least one kid with us -- probably our younger, elementary school-aged daughters. TIA for your recommendations!

Circa at Connecticut and Q (right across from the north metro exit) is excellent for brunch:

Only on week-end, but Darlington House. They are very nice to kids too!

I hate Kramer's brunch! It is sooo gross. My pancakes tasted like they were frozen. And it was freakin expensive.!

I have to agree. I want to like Afterwords, but I've had nothing but bad experiences there. The location is fabulous, but the food and service are not. I'll occasionally go for coffee, maybe dessert, and people-watching, but that's it.
