Food, Cooking, and Restaurants
| I'm meeting a friend who's visiting from out of town tomorrow morning in Dupon Circle for a late breakfast or brunch. I know the Tabard Inn and Cafe Luna both have good breafast menus, but would love additional suggestions on where to go. We'll each have at least one kid with us -- probably our younger, elementary school-aged daughters. TIA for your recommendations! |
| Kramerbooks & Afterwards Cafe. Great brunch. Kid friendly. |
| Le Pain Quotidien. |
yum yum |
| Not sure what time Bistro du Coin opens on weekdays, but they have a good brunch. |
| Teaism. Casual, good food, kid-friendly. |
None of the food we ate there had any flavir. I was super diappointed. |
| PP here - Sorry "flavor" |

Circa at Connecticut and Q (right across from the north metro exit) is excellent for brunch:

| Sette has a tasty brunch. |
| Oops, I see Sette only does weekend brunches. |
| Only on week-end, but Darlington House. They are very nice to kids too! |
| I hate Kramer's brunch! It is sooo gross. My pancakes tasted like they were frozen. And it was freakin expensive.! |
| Love Teaism. Small but great food. |
I have to agree. I want to like Afterwords, but I've had nothing but bad experiences there. The location is fabulous, but the food and service are not. I'll occasionally go for coffee, maybe dessert, and people-watching, but that's it. |
