| I'm starting another IVF round at Shady Grove, which will be a Lupron stop protocol. From what I've read here, it looks like women have generally not had luck with this, but I would love to hear if you have had success. I'm 41 and trying to decide whether to do the Lupron stop now or get myself organized to go to Dr. Davis at Cornell early next year (will turn 42). |
| I did. It didn't work, but it may have been other issues that we are still trying to solve. Dr. Davis told me a few years ago that he doesn't recommend lupron stop. To be fair, dr. davis' protocols didn't work either. |
Thank you. It seems like the Lupron stop protocol doesn't work for most people, so I'm a bit surprised that my doctor is suggesting it. |
It was amazing for me. I tried traditional antagonist and then estrogen priming and got 7 eggs retrieved and essentially no blasts (one day three transfer that ended in an early miscarriage). With lupron stop they got 16 eggs, 11 mature, 10 fertilized and 6 blasts. Three were PGT-A normal and three were mosaic. I’m currently barely pregnant ( 4 weeks) from my first FET. Good luck and I hope it works well for you! |
Wow, congrats!! That's a dramatic difference. I think we're going to try since it will take 30 days just to get my medical records from SG, which then Dr. Davis needs for 2 weeks before our initial consult with him. By that point we'll be almost done with this next Lupron round at SG. So we might as well try the Lupron and your success gives me hope. Wishing you all the best with this pregnancy and thank you for responding. |
Thanks! Yeah give it a shot and if it doesn’t work, then that’s one more data point for Dr. Davis. Good luck! |
