Anyone know why as county adopted f&p recently when everyone else seems to realize they need to go back to real phonics? Who is selling this crap? Are they giving out kickbacks or something? |
| School districts are like children. They like shiny, new toys. It doesn't matter that the toys don't work. |
| Education is not data driven. They never beta test anything. "Effectiveness" is never a criteria when choosing curriculum. |
| Just look at the Curriculum 2.0 scandal in MCPS and the Discovery Channel bribery scandal in MCPS and you’ll see why. There is real money in curricula choices. Jerry Weist was bribed with a retirement trip to New Zealand and Australia. The MCPS curricula team was almost bribed by high paying gigs at Discovery Channel ‘education.’ Hell BCPS’ superintendent just got out of prison for double dealing. This is more than simply ‘idiots’ picking curricula. |
| Pearson education company of Great Britain gave good old Jerry Weiss the trip of his lifetime. |
Who is Jerry Weiss? |
