oh man. i also completely miss Nerve magazine and website (literate smut). the dating website was also great. alas. Stephanie Laurens, Grade Burrowes, Joanna Bourne, Loretta Chase (specifically the dressmakers series) are some of my reliable authors in that they usually don't make me want to throw my kindle across the room, but i prefer my historical romance to be less sex and more plot. |
Reviving this thread to say I just discovered Dramione fanfic and Omegaverse. Oh my. I had no idea I’d be into this type of story. I’m a little shocked at myself. DH is happy as a clam.

This remains my favorite thread. I have worked my way the ALL of Sarah MacLeans books, two of Helen Huangs (SO GOOD) quite a few Laura Carter (not bad but my favorite). I also discovered Chloe Liese who has some great ND characters and characters dealing with chronic illness (which I relate to) and a couple books by Lucy Parker which I liked but were more sweet than romance or smut.
Please refresh this thread with anything you have really loved lately |
Which is your favorite Sarah Maclean? |
Ohhh tough question. I think my favorite series is the Helles Belles and probably my favorite book is one in that series - knock out. I read some of the other series out of order due to library availability so that might have influenced me. |
DP here. I really loved 10 Ways to be Adored. It's LONG and there's a lot happening. It also sets up a series (I think it's the strongest of the books in that series). It's one of her older books. https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/7781699 |
Same person. I was wrong. The first book in the series is Nine Rules to Break... (and this is the book I thought was strongest in the series). https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6584134-nine-rules-to-break-when-romancing-a-rake |
Thanks to both of you! |
I liked this one too! My least favorite by far were all the Bareknuckled Bastards books. They weren’t bad exactly but I preferred the other series much more. |
Late to the conversation but really want to add my two cents here if i can. Young men please take this into consideration from a not so young man whos been married over 20 plus years and has a wife who loves sex to this day and at times has a desire that can out pace his own. These novels can be your best friend if your willing to get past your own insecurities (it can be tough but it can also be incredible for your long term sex life.) Women from my own experiance tend to love fantasy in relation to sex. The stories, settings, situations, sexual tensions, and verity of sexual encounters can make women extreamly horny and if your mature enough to handle the fact that you very well may not be the center of the "fantasy" you just might find yourself having the most incredible sex you can possibly imagine. Remember its "fantasy" and your wife in most circumstances is not going to leave your for a character in a fiction book. However she might screw your brains out as a result of the senarios in some of these books turning her on sexually to the point of no return. My recomendation is simple, hear her out, be open with here about your own fantasies, remember sex to her is not all about your dick and only your dick. Compliment her often and make her feel desired. Confirm her questions about who else could possblly be intrestered in her as a sexual. Hope you had good luck sorting through it all. |

Role play some of novel seens with her and use toys that fit the senarios, dont be intemidated about using a toy that may or may not be bigger or thicker then what you may or may not be roacking downstairs. Make it hot and fun, maintain your masculinity and use it as a driver to her own desire. |
Just want to bump this thread because it inspired me to read the ACOTAR series. I feel like I found my mojo again. I fantasize and think about sex all the time now. It’s been amazing for my marriage of 20+ years. |
Just added the ACOTAR series to my Libby but there's a wait.
Only a few Sarah MacLean available on Libby. I to have more time to listen to audio books during work than to read for pleasure at night with kids, etc. It's the "A Rogue by any Other", so far reminds me of Bridgerton. I did find an in option to listen to some of the British Filth guy that someone suggested without having to sign up for an account or download the Reddit app. It is quite explicit, oh my, but Im here for it, lol! https://www.literotica.com/authors/British%20Filth/works/audio |
