Anyone have a Petsies stuffed animal of their pet?

| Our beloved dog passed away last week (she was 17 so it was not sudden but we are still heartbroken). In our grief, we searched for look alike stuffed animals and came across this company called Petsies. They sell customizable stuffed animals of pets. Does anyone have one and is it worth ordering? It will cost about $200, which is a lot for a stuffed animal. Wondering if this is a stupid thing to purchase. I acknowledge we are desperate to have something tangible to remind us of our best girl. Thanks. |

It sounds like a sweet idea. I’m sorry your hurting and missing your dog. I don’t think it’s a stupid idea at all if it’s something you feel will help you with your grieving process and help you have something to hold on to of your furry family member. We lost a (person) family member a few years ago and I purchased a small trinket that reminded me of them. Somehow it helped me and my healing of the loss. I do believe the ones we love both people and pets do go on someway and somehow and also our love for them always does too. Best wishes to you and your family in healing together OP.

| My Petsies plush of my dog is one of my absolute favorite things I own and it really helped me when we had to put my boy down. Even though Sparky isn't here with us, his Petsie still watches over our home and provides a sense of comfort. I know nothing can replace my dog, but Petsies did a great job at making it so I can cherish him forever and I can't thank them enough. |

| Yes, we have three. They aren't perfect but really close. You can send them back if they don't quite match. It is nice for our dogs that passed but a little creepy for our dog that is still here. |

Interesting idea, I may look int for current dog, who we all adore
I painted a dog ornament to look more like our dog who passed away. It gets a special spot on out tree each year |
