Honors v AP classes online?

We are between taking Honors and AP bio in 9th grade online.

We are leaning toward Honors with the idea that it will be easier and DD can take AP bio later in HS if it interests her.

BUT, the online courses cost the exact same and I’m afraid that the Honors online course won’t be accepted by all colleges but the AP courses are more universally accepted.

Can someone please offer guidance?

There is no way I’d have a 9th grader take AP Bio, especially without taking honors Bio first. My dd is not super advanced but she found it really hard as a hs senior (harder than Ap chem in 11th).

Thanks. That’s what I needed to know! It’s crazy that community college bio is so easy that many take it without any prior bio.

Do you have a good bio accredited online class to rec? We see apex, Florida, UCScout, excel, asu. I’m overwhelmed by the choices.
