Need recommendation for child psychologist or psychiatrist

Looking for recs for a child who is not SN but has sibs w/ SN and has been through a lot of stress in last few years. Problems are not severe but enough to seek advice/consultation such as anxiety, clinginess w/ friends, overly competitive, moderate amounts of insecurity. Also G/T. Perhaps someone good w/ working w/ family also to help w/ balancing needs of kids? My child connects best w/ warm, empathetic and also energetic/vibrant personalities.

I've heard that Jennifer Kogan is a good family therapist who is good with SN issues. I think she is an MSW. She is located in Tenleytown.

Also try the Adele Lebowitz Center in the Washington School of Psychiatry in Friendship Heights

do you know about sibshop? it's for siblings of kids with special needs -- it's kind of a support group. i actually haven't brought my typical kid to it because it happens on saturday mornings, and she goes to religious school then, but it might be useful for your child.

Jewish Social Services Agency is another option. You don't have to be Jewish.
