Below is my attempt at a little levity during this competitive admissions season. If you have a poem, limerick or anything else to share, please do!

I once had a darling DC
With 99 on the WPPSI
The playdates were great
Teacher recs first rate
I hope this leads to the Big 3!

99% on the WPPSI and angling for the Big 3? I think this applies to just about everyone on this board--or so they claim.

just like traditional learning.
Good riddance hateful feet, metered.

the ivy gates are tempting
but public is free

Oh the agony
Not a sib or legacy

Should I wear this to the tour?
Will Sidwell show me the door?

Was my interview voice passionate or crazy?
I said well rounded kid; did they think lazy?

Did I sound just the right note
Or was reject on the file wrote?

I wish my husband were more high powered
Or at least tall so he would have towered

I wish my in laws could make a donation
Instead of nagging about a family vacation

Will I survive until March?
This makes my eyebrows arch.

The only way to conquer this stress
Is with a visit to the psychiatrist

Aaaah now feeling much better
Until I get five skinny letters

Who's to say which one's the best?
And if DC hates the school
Will I feel like a big old fool?
For picking a school that's best for me
As opposed to the school that's best for DC?

Tears, Tantrums, Morning Glums
Endless hours doing sums
Stalking the postman's daily route
This is what parenting's all about?

To get everyone's two cents.
Wondering if our apps will make the final cut
Should we aim for the "Big 3" or just go with our gut?
