Childcare Options in Takoma Park or Silver Spring?

Does anyone have any recommendations for either a daycare center or in-home daycare in Takoma Park, MD or Silver Spring? Our child will be going when he/she is 3-4 months. Also, if you know what the going rate in the Takoma Park area is for a nanny or nanny share, I'd be interested in that too. Thanks!

I posted the same question yesterday and so far my responses for finding in-home care have been to check church bulletin boards and craigslist...I also asked about the going rate but haven't gotten responses to that. We just moved to the area and will also be looking into either in-home day cares or nanny shares when the time comes...hoping someone provides some insight soon Btw- what time frame are you looking at for nanny share? I am also curious about how far in advance people need to line this up...thanks!!! Good luck with your search!

Also Montgomery County provides a list of in home daycares. I recently looked at one in Wheaton and it was $800 a month. There are some day care centers in SS, but not many. Easter Seals, Quality Time, Forest Glen, Bright Horizons at NOAA, am sure there are more...

There is a Yahoo group listserve for TP/SS parents that often has helpful resources and information about local child-care options. If you go to Yahoo's group home page and do a search for Takoma parents (or something like that), I believe you will find it.
