Best Thai in Arlington?

Anonymous
My sister is visiting next weekend. She has never had Thai. I would like to introduce it to her. We just usually do carryout from the restaurant in Lee Harrison Center. What is your favorite Thai place in Arlington or would be willing to stop in Alexandria after picking her up from the airport. Thanks all!!

Thai Square on Columbia Pike was our go-to when we lived there. Tom Sietsema has always giving it rave reviews as well.

I can't remember the name, but the place in Old Town close to the river is good, and a nicer atmosphere than most Thai restaurants. There was also a place in Crystal City we used to go to--they were always very kid-friendly when we took our toddler.

I used to go to Thai Square, but now prefer Bangkok 54, which is right up the street. It's really great and the decor is nicer than at Thai Square.

love love LOVE Chrystal Thai. On Rt 50 just west of the intersection with George Mason Dr. We order from them probably 1x/wk (seriously).

Sawatdee in Courthouse is pretty good. Also Thai Thai on Lee Highway is decent - decor is lacking though.

2d Crystal Thai for pickup.

Duangrat in Seven Corners is fantastic for eat-in (a little pricier than some others, but worth it)

I like the food and decor at Tara Thai in Arlington. I love the food at the Thai restaurant at Courthouse. I think it's the one a PP mentioned above. I don't like Duangrats and don't think it's worth the price at all.

The place you're talking about is called Mai Thai, and I love that place! The ambiance is wonderful, and I love the food. If you make a reservation, request a table upstairs by the windows.

I like Bankok 54 on Columbia Pike. I used to prefer Thai Square, but have found that it has gone a bit downhill in the past year or so.

Thanks all! I had thought of Duangrats but never been impressed not to mention I feel like it is a bit overpriced. I think we may try Bangkok 54.
