Any experience/s with "DMV Draw Days"

It's Tuesdays in Gaithersburg (I'm not advertising for them, FWIW).

Anyone attended? Is it good? Worth the time? Money?

Are there other options? Anything maybe closer to Norther Virginia?

PVI does faceoff work on Sundays in the Winter. Pretty sure it's open to everyone but not sure how many more sessions.

Thanks for the reply, appreciated.

I had contacted PVI's coach about winter clinics, and he replied that they didn't do any, and didn't mention their FO work (which I've seen mentioned on their Twitter account several times). I will see if he'd ever be willing to let my son and I even just attend to watch.

My son, only 8, is obsessed with FO's and goalie. I haven't told him that those are mutually exclusive. Though maybe he can create a new Face Off Goalie On role, ha.

I'm assuming you are talking about the ones with Jerry Ragonese. Yes they are good and it builds a strong community of faceoff guys in the area which the DMV has been very successful at doing.

The PVI clinics are also great and bring in some very good talent to help coach it. Bobby Feisee is a very good coach and the pace and price may be better for newer/younger players.

Yes, that is the one with Jerry Ragonese. Glad to hear it's good, but the location and time is a challenge at this point.

I'll reach out to Coach Feisee perhaps. The head coach didn't indicate their face off work was for anyone outside of the team, perhaps Feisee does private coaching?

My son is now a freshman in college and he loved working with Coach Ragonese. I met several kids/dads at the Gaithersburg sessions who drove crazy miles to get there. One regularly drove from Delaware.

How old are the kids that go to the Face Off Academy Draw Days? Is it worthwhile for younger kids?

I've seen some really young kids, maybe 8 or 9, there on some nights. Can't speak to how worthwhile it is, as my son didn't start facing off until 8th grade or so. But the young kids seem to love it.
