Julia Brown Montessori in Olney?

Not familiar w/the Olney location, but spent 5yrs at another. Curriculum is great. This is a "true" Montessori school. If you’re looking for bright colorful classrooms this is not for your family. "Work" time and play time is clearly established and differentiated. Also, if you are the type of parent that has to be actively involved at school, RUN! There are 2 conferences a year and 2 times when you are invited to sit in and observe your child’s class for 30 minutes (strictly). Julia Brown and her daughters who run the school defintely make their presence known and oversee every aspect on the running of the school. Parents only meet at birthday parties. If you are not a hover type parent, the method that the school uses works. The classes are peaceful and my two daughters loved it and made great friends. They left the school and transitioned well into an independent school environment quite competitively, (advanced actually).
