Private & Independent Schools
Does anybody know them? I would like to compare them to the other boys' schools, many of which post average scores on their web sites, or the scores are available with a little searching on the web. One would think STA has nothing to hide. And for what they charge, they should be willing to release this information.
Are your panties beginning to knot b/c the SAT testers said the STA boys were better prepared? Let's be specific, please name the other boys school you're comparing to STA?

I completely understand why they wouldn't want to publicize scores. Why feed discussions like this one?
That said, when I search for "St Albans SAT average," the very first link says 1300: http://www.xoxohth.com/thread.php?thread_id=35362&mc=33&forum_id=1#563113. |
There were publicized before, I think Petersons?
Why are so many people so nasty here? Like it or not, the SAT is a primary means of measuring scholastic aptitude in our country. If I'm going to shell out big bucks for a private school, I want to know how bright the students are that the school admits/produces. If their aptitude, as measured by the SAT, is not significantly different from the average at our public school or from the averages at other private schools, then that is relevant information, even if one might still prefer the school for other reasons. So I don't see anything wrong with the question. I appreciate the helpful responses. I have seen websites putting Landon and Prep around 1290, which means STA is not that different if the PPs information is accurate. Thanks.
You'd be better off looking at the WSJ list of college acceptances. STA leads for boys, and I don't have a boy. I had a girl at Holton and yes, she's going to an Ivy.
