how can I move (not copy) pics on an iphone?

Anonymous
I want to set up a folder with just pics of the ocean, for example. But they seem to just copy from my "all photos" album - and when I try to delete from the all photos, they delete from all folders.

Also is there an easier way to download than to dropbox if I want to make photo books?

Create an album on your iPhone called “ocean pics”

You are correct that deleting a pic from your “all photos” folder removes that pic from any other albums.
You could backup your pics to an external hard drive. Just be careful that the hard drive is not setup to synchronize what’s on your phone, otherwise you’ll lose it again when you next sync.
Another option is to email yourself pics that you want to move and then you’ll always have them in your email folder.

when you create an album on a an i phone, you are essentially just creating a "play list" of the images

you don't end up with two copies of the photo you still only have one the ocean folder is just creating a link to the orinal photo
