I thought bench, but now I'm thinking maybe captains will be more functional. On a day to day basis, we won't need the third row, but when we do, I'd like it to be accessible.
Thoughts?
Pros and cons. Yes. The bench is much more comfy for a kid or two as they can slouch on longer trips, not possible if you have captains seats. Especially older kids are confined to straight sitting in the captains seats and it is not too comfortable for some to seat so upright all the time.
However, I personally LOVE access to the back seats, the air and flow of the air with captain's seats and the comfort of armrests. Also it is easier for you to tend the car seats with captain chairs if you need to go inbetween.
If I had tinny kids now, I would probably go with captains thinking it would be more comfortable now and in few years I probably would go with different car and shop then for what would work and be more comfy for the given family make up then.
