Now that the weather is heating up, will probably be switching over to casual maternity dresses on the weekends...the problem is I’ve always found these to be somewhat see-through with stretchy dresses. What do you all wear under maternity dresses?? A slip seems really uncomfortable. Nude spandex shorts?? Recommendations?
I don't wear anything other than normal underwear. I don't find maternity clothes more see through than regular clothes though.
Depending on the length, I’ll wear biker short but that’s just to keep my thighs from rubbing together. I’ve only got one maternity dress (didn’t look see-through) every other dress, I just go a size up and so far so good. I could imagine wearing a slip under anything in the summer even when not pregnant.
I found I wanted extra bump support - look for maternity support shorts on Amazon and there are many options. This helps with the bump but also would help with any thin material issues
I wore these all last summer when I was pregnant: https://www.undersummers.com/collections/5050
I bought Belevation Women’s Maternity Shapewear on Amazon. I tried like 4 different brands. I had to go up a size because I didn’t want them tight like real shapewear. But they go down my thighs far enough to prevent chafing and smooth things out a bit under light cotton dresses. I got two, black and nude. Mainly because I know i will sweat through them easily and want a backup pair to get to laundry day.
I typically wear normal underwear under my maternity clothes. Works for me! Keep it simple
